Turtle Nest Survey at Plush’s Bend

A turtle nest survey was conducted at the Plush’s Bend environmental watering site in December 2025 and was attended by community members. The event was hosted in collaboration with the Murraylands and Riverlands Landscape Board (MRLB) as a part of their “TURTLE” project.

During the survey, participants searched for turtle nests predated by foxes in areas near the environmental watering site that were ideal turtle nesting habitat. Three nests were discovered and they were recorded on the TurtleSat app.
