Located south of the Renmark township, this site predominantly contains River Red Gum Saplings and Lignum. Before environmental watering, many of the River Red Gum Saplings were stressed, and the mature trees had died.
Since watering commenced in April 2020, bird species abundance and diversity has increased significantly. In the 2020-21 season, Plush Bend had the highest overall bird species diversity out of all of the active sites monitored for birds, signifying the site’s journey to rehabilitation.
