Located south of the Renmark township, this site predominantly contains river red gum saplings and lignum. Before environmental watering, many of the saplings were stressed, and the mature trees had died. The before and after photos below show the growth in river red gum saplings and other vegetation since watering commenced.
Since watering commenced in April 2020, bird and frog species abundance and diversity has increased significantly. During surveys a total of 16 waterbird species, 14 bush land bird species and five frog species have been recorded, signifying the site’s journey to rehabilitation.
