The Pony Club site is due to be developed in 2023. It will be one of the last watering sites to be developed in the current CEWH Water for the Environment program. At the present time, there are black box trees and the groundcover is dominated by samphire and other salt bush species. There is also round-leaf pigface and two patches of lignum.
The environment is degraded by two pest plants – curled dock and Bathurst burr, rabbit colonies and rubbish including disused horse jumps. Vegetation is salt and drought affected.
